The immediate past Group Managing Director of the Nigeria National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), Malam Mele Kyari is currently in the custody of the Economic Crimes Commission (EFCC), Abuja.
Kyari has been under pressure by several groups that have been calling for his arrest over his management of the NNPCL arrived the EFCC headquarters some minutes past 2pm on Wednesday.

Sources at the antigraft agency was said to have been invited to answer questions on financial and technical matters arising from his time in office.
Malam Kyari has been fingered alongside several top management staff of the NNPCL who were recently disbanded by President Bola Tinubu, have been accused of malfeasance in the Turnaround Maintenance (TAM) of Port Harcourt, Warri and Kaduna refineries.
The former NNPC boss and his team have been accused of mismanagement of over $7 billion in his six years stink at the national oil company.
