Formost nationalist, Chief Edwin Kiagbodo Clark is dead.
Chief Clark who until his death , was the leader of the Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF), died at the age of 97.
A statement issued by the family on Tuesday by Prof. C. C. Clark for the family and Mr. Penawei Clark for the children stated that Chief Clark passed away on Monday, February 17, 2025.

Part of the statement reads, “The Clark-Fuludu Bekederemo family of Kiagbodo Town, Delta State, wishes to announce the passing of Chief (Dr.) Sen. Edwin Kiagbodo Clark OFR, CON on Monday, 17th February 2025.
“The family appreciates your prayers at this time. Other details will be announced later by the family.”
Barely one week ago, Chief Clark’s friend and comrade, Chief Ayo Adebanjo, the Leader of the Afenifere socio-cultural organisation also died in Lagos at the age of 96.
There had not been any official reaction from.any of the South South states on the demise of the elder statesman.
