President Bola Tinubu on Monday night arrived Ankara,the Turkish capital. The Nigerian leader was received at the Ankara Esenboğa International airport by Turkish government delegation led by the Minister of National Education, Yusuf Tekin.
President Bola Tinubu who is in Turkey on a state visit is accompanied by seven ministers, some members of the National Assembly and other senior government officials.
The ministers on the president’s entourage are, the Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Lateef Fagbemi, Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun, Minister of Solid Minerals, Dele Alake, and the Minister of Defence, Gen. Christopher Musa(rtd).
Others are, the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo; Minister of Women Affairs, Imaan Suleiman-Ibrahim; Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, Kingsley Udeh. Earlier statement by spokesman, Bayo Onanuga indicated that the Minister of Foreign Affairs would also be on the presidential entourage.
Also on the President’s team include, the Chairman, House Committee on Defence, Babajimi Benson; Special Adviser to the President on Policy Communication, Daniel Bwala; and Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency, Ambassador Mohammed Mohammed.

The Chargé d’Affaires at the Nigerian Embassy in Turkey, Ambassador Zayyad Abdulsalam led Nigerian Embassy team to to welcome the president.
The president’s plane touched down at precisely 9.03 pm local time, according to a statement by presidential spokesman, Bayo Onanuga.
Oresident Bola Tinubu during the visit will hold discussions with his Turkish counterpart, Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
He is also expected to sign some yet to be publicised Memoranda of Understanding (MOU) with the European nation.
In an earlier statement, Bayo Onanuga stated that will only depart Turkey after concluding his state visit. No specific date was given.
