Ebonyi Rep, Nkemkanma Kama Emerges House Committee Chair on Climate Change and Security

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Abbas Tajudeen has appointed Hon. Nkemkama Kama the new Chairman of the House Committee on Climate Change and Security.

Hon  Nkemkanma Kama, a member of the Labour Party (LP) represents Ohaozara/Onicha/Ivo Federal Constituency of Ebonyi State.

In addition to his new appointment, Hon. Kama has been a member of several class A committees in the House including,  Appropriation, Aviation, Army, FERMA, Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs, Ecological Fund, Customs, Police Institutions, Public Accounts, Petroleum Downstream, Solid Minerals, Rural electrification, Justice, and Commerce. Others are, Aviation Institutions, SMEDAN, Basic Education, Poverty Alleviation, Science Institutions, and Public Assets.

Kama, though a first time lawmaker has established himself as a vibrant lawmaker.  It is hoped that his new appointment will further enhance his abilities in serving the country and his constituency. Several of his constituents who spoke to FACTSHEET expressed optimism and happiness in his new role.
