Ebonyi PDP Hails Fed High Court Judgment, Urges Party Members Prepare for Congresses, Convention

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Ebonyi State has hailed the judgement of the Federal High Court sitting in Ibadan which validated the National Caretaker Committee of the party led by Hon Abdulrahman Mohammed and Senator Samuel Anyanwu, Caretaker National Chairman and Secretary respectively.

 

FACTSHEET reported that the court  also nullified the purported National convention of the party held at Ibadan in November 2025.

 

Commending the court via a press statement issued in Abakaliki by the State Publicity Secretary, Engr. Francis Kalu, Ebonyi State PDP noted that the ruling of the Federal High Court further “reinforces the supremacy of the PDP Constitution, due process, and the rule of law, and vindicates Senator Samuel Anyanwu’s consistent position against procedural violations.”

According  to the statement, “The Ebonyi State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) welcomes the judgment of the Federal High Court, Ibadan, which nullified the purported PDP National Convention held on November 15, 2025.”

 

The  party therefore “urged  members to remain calm, united, and law-abiding as the party moves forward in line with its constitution.”

 

With the judgement, PDP is expected to kick-start programmes aimed at getting the party ready ahead of the 2027 general elections.
