“Exco wishes to convey its deep appreciation to His Excellency, Chief Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, the Executive Governor Ebonyi State, for wiping the tears of Mgbom Na Achara Community in Okposi, Ohaozara LGA by commencing the construction of the 12 kilometer Ogwumabiri/Ojigwe Road in our community.

“The Exco acknowledges the need to commence the process of filling the vacant stool of the Eze by selecting the Eze from Mgbom Enu Kindred. The stool of Namoke became vacant after the demise of HRH late Eze Asu Udeogu, Namoke II of Mgbom Na Achara Autonomous Community.
“In the light of the above, the Exco resolved to immediately issue a letter of notification to Mgbom Enu kindred directing the commencement of the process of selecting the Eze in line with the constitution of Mgbom Na Achara Autonomous Community.
“The Exco deliberated on the ongoing mining activities at Ogbu-Enu Mgbom and expresses concern over the health and safety of the people living within the surrounding areas where these activities are carried out and observes the need for the miners to comply with all extant Mining Laws including the requirement for a reclamation plan upon completion of their operations.
“The Exco resolved to liaise with the landowners to ensure that every environmental, safety and health issue is resolved with the miners.
The MADU leadership therefore urged the “people to be law-abiding, to ensure that the ongoing road construction work goes on smoothly without stoppage of work. It also enjoined our people to commence the process of Ezeship selection in a peaceful and orderly manner.”
