Donald Trump Escapes Assassination

Republican presidential candidate,  Donald Trump narrowly escaped being killed on Saturday at a political rally in Butler PA when a lone shooter aimed at the former president as he addressed thousands of supporters.

Trump who instinctively dropped to the ground after he felt a “whizzing sound” courageously stood up again and pumped his fist up in an iconic victory posture before he was whisked away by security guards from the Secret Service.

The shooter according to Secret Service operatives was later “neutralized.”

Trump, however, took to the social media to narrate what happened as he praised men of the secrete service for their bravery.

The former president wrote:

“I knew immediately that something was wrong in that I heard a whizzing sound, shots, and immediately felt the bullet ripping through the skin.

“Much bleeding took place, so I realized then what was happening. GOD BLESS AMERICA!

In a swift reaction to the incident, President Joe Biden thanked God for sparing the life of Trump while condemning the violence which he said had no place in America.

Biden in a statement said that he is  “grateful to hear that [Trump is] safe and doing well” and that he’s “praying for him and his family and for all those who were at the rally, as we await further information.”

“There’s no place for this kind of violence in America. We must unite as one nation to condemn it,” the president reiterated.

The last time an attempt was made on an American presidential candidate was in 1981 when a gunman tried to kill Ronald Reagan in Washington DC as he campaigned.

More details of the assassination attempt on Trump will be unraveled…
