Dangote’s Allegations Against Me ‘Wild and Spurious, ‘ But I Won’t Engage in Public Trial- Farouk Ahmed
Mr. Farouk Ahmed, the Authority Chief Executive of the Nigeria Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) has described the allegations leveled against him by the President of the Dangote Group, Mr. Aliko Dangote as “wild and spurious,”
The NMPDRA boss however, said that he is not interested in public trial since the petitioner has already reached an investigative government agency that has the powers to do the job.
Mr. Ahmed also disociated himself from a purported response to Dangote credited to him.

Part of his statement reads:
“My attention has been drawn to a purported response I was said to have made on the recent allegations against my person. I hereby state categorically that the so-called statement did not emanate from me.
“While I am aware of the wild and spurious allegations made against me and my family and the frenzy it has generated , as a regulator of a sensitive industry, I have opted not to engage in public brickbat,”
Dangote had accused the NMPDRA boss paying ans high as $5million to educate his children in a elite schools in Europe saying that he should disclose the sources of the funds as his job as a civil servant could not have funded the kind of luxury he lives in.
