Criminal Conspiracy Allegation: NLC President Declines Police Invitation, Provides Reasons

Joe Ajaero, President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), has announced that he will not be attending the invitation extended to him by the Nigeria Police Force.

Ajaero stated that he is unable to honor the invitation due to prior commitments.

This information was conveyed through a letter from his legal representatives, Falana and Falana Chambers.

The Police have summoned Ajaero regarding allegations of criminal conspiracy, terrorism financing, treasonable felony, subversion, and cybercrime.

However, a letter from Ajaero’s lawyers addressed to the Inspector General of Police noted that the invitation was received too late.

The letter included the following statement: “We are solicitors to the Nigeria Labour Congress and its President, Joe Ajaero, on whose behalf we write this letter in respect of the above subject matter.

“We have the instructions of Ajaero to inform you that he is unable to honor your invitation on Tuesday, August 20, given that your invitation letter was received by him yesterday.

“He has a prior engagement that was scheduled before the receipt of the invitation letter.”
