He further emphasized the role of journalists in shaping narratives and amplifying voices, particularly in times of both joy and adversity. “As journalists, you stand at the forefront of truth, offering a voice to the voiceless. May this Eid bring you not only peace and joy but also renewed strength and purpose as you continue to enlighten and inform.”

Isiguzo urged reflection on the shared values of humanity, compassion, and unity, reminding journalists and the broader society of their collective responsibility.

“Let us also remember that the work we do – the stories we tell, the truths we uncover – is part of our service to society and our greater duty to humanity,” he added.

Concluding his message, Isiguzo extended his best wishes to all Muslims, particularly fellow journalists, praying for continued peace, unity, and prosperity across Africa.

“To all Muslims across Africa, and especially to our fellow journalists, I wish you a blessed, joyous, and peaceful Eid El Fitr. May Allah accept your prayers, reward your sacrifices, and grant you health, happiness, and success in all your endeavors,” he said.
