Commuters Pay N800 on Aba-Port Harcourt Train Service
Commuters between Aba and Port Harcourt have heaved sigh of relief as the Nigeria Railway Corporation (NRC) commenced full services on the Aba-Port Harcourt route.
Commuters who spoke to FACTSHEET noted that if the services are sustained by the NRC business activities between the two cities will be automatically boosted.
Checks by FACTSHEET revealed that commuters pay N1,500 for the first class coaches while the a seat in the economy class goes for N800.
Ozioma FIdelis, who commutes between the two cities told FACTSHEET that, “I am so happy with the train service. I go to Port Harcourt with thinking of go-slow, or even agbero. In fact, this is one thing I can that government has done for me.”
Other who spoke praised the NRC for the services but called on the government to either refurbish the coaches or acquire new one so that commuters can have comfortable journesys.
They also called on them to be vigilant to ensure that thugs and ticket racketeers did not infiltrate their services.
