CHRISTMAS: PDP Calls for Peace Among Ebonyi Communities

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ebonyi State has called on the people and communities in the state to work to promote peace and unity as the people celebrate the Yulitide season.

The call was contained in a Christmas messaage issued in Abakaliki on Christmas day by the State Caretaker  Publicity Secretary of the party, Engr. Francis Kalu.

The party prayed for peace and harmony noting that the birth of Jesus Christ symbolises “ love, hope, sacrifice and renewal.”

The full statement reads:

 

“The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ebonyi State Chapter, heartily felicitates with the good people of Ebonyi State and Nigerians at large as they celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, a season that symbolizes love, hope, sacrifice, and renewal.

“Christmas offers a moment for reflection on the enduring values of compassion, unity, and service to humanity. At a time when many citizens are faced with economic hardship and uncertainty, the PDP urges the people not to lose hope, but to remain steadfast in their belief in a better, fairer, and more prosperous society.

“The PDP Ebonyi State Caretaker Committee reassures party members, supporters, and the people of the state of its unwavering commitment to unity, internal democracy, and people-centered governance that places the welfare and dignity of the masses above all else.

 

“We call on all Ebonyians to use this festive season to promote peace, tolerance, and communal harmony, recognizing that our collective strength lies in our unity and shared purpose.

 

“As we celebrate Christmas, we pray that its joy and blessings fill every home and usher in renewed hope, peace, and progress for Ebonyi State and Nigeria.
