Benue LGA Election: PDP Chairmanship Candidate, Patience Akor Meet With Critical Stakeholders Okpokwu

 

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) chairmanship flag bearer in the forthcoming Local Government Election, Hon. Patience Ene Akor yesterday hosted party stakeholders at okpoga to seek their support and inform them of her developmental programme for Okpokwu local government council if given the mandate.

 

Hon. Akor, who spoke extensively on her development agenda when given the mandate, said her aspiration to be the chairman of the Okpokwu local government council was not for personal gains but for the general good of the people.

 

She promised to positively impact several areas, such as clinics, schools, markets and rehabilitation of the dilapidated Local Government Secretariat.

 

The Director General of the Campaign Council, Hon. Godfrey Adah, charged all party faithful to be united and dedicated to ensuring that PDP comes out victorious at the forthcoming polls.

 

He, therefore, presented Hon Patience Ene Akor, Hon Benedict Ochueje and all the councillorship candidates to the Entire PDP family for their prayers and support.

 

The Local Government party chairman, Hon. Christopher Okpabi, who spoke on behalf of the Entire PDP Executives, urged both the local Government and ward Executives to go to their respective council wards and polling units to campaign for all the candidates under the canopy of the People’s Democratic Party.

 

He also urged all party faithful to kindly plead and persuade all aggrieved party members in their localities who lost out at the just concluded Local Government and ward Congresses to shield their swords and work for the general interest and common good of the People’s Democratic Party.

 

Also speaking, the Member Representing Okpokwu state Constituency at the Benue state House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Agom Anthony thanked and appreciated all party faithful for always standing and supporting the PDP in Okpokwu local government.

 

Agom, who disclosed that the Okpokwu local Government was the Home of the People’s Democratic Party, assured that the People’s Democratic Party would continue to win in Okpokwu.

 

The lawmaker charged all members of the party to go to their various wards and campaign so that, in the end, the umbrella party would come out Victorious at the forthcoming polls.

 

The senator representing Benue South Senatorial District, Patrick Abba Moro who was Represented by the former General Manager of the Benue State Environmental Sanitation Agency, Rt Hon Solomon Onah charged all party members to key into the PDP stressing that the umbrella party was the only political party that can extricate Nigerians out of the current economic hardship caused by the APC government stressing that a vote for PDP is a vote for redemption.

 

Present at the ceremony were the vice chairmanship candidate, Hon Benedict Ochueje; all councillorship candidates, Hon Augustine Idah, Hon Adokwu, Hon Onyeama Okoh; the local Government woman Leader, comrade Helen Ocheme; former councillors and a host of other party Members.
