Former Vice President and Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, has expressed his heartfelt condolences on the passing of Dr. (Mrs) Oby Nwaogu, describing her as a dedicated and loyal leader of the party.
“I am shocked and saddened by the passing of Dr. (Mrs) Oby Nwaogu, a committed leader of the Peoples Democratic Party,” Atiku said.
He noted that Dr. Nwaogu’s dedication to the party and humanity was clearly demonstrated through her active involvement during his presidential campaign tours across Nigeria in 2019 and 2023.
“The Imo State-born politician was my loyal supporter for a very long time. Her loyalty and commitment were evident in the pivotal roles she played throughout my campaign tours across the 36 states and the FCT during my last two presidential runs.”
Atiku offered his sympathies to her family and loved ones, saying, “My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends. On behalf of my family and team, I offer my profound condolences to the Nwaogu family. May they find comfort during this difficult time, and may her soul rest in eternal peace.”
