Arise News Reporter, Sommie Maduagwu Jumped from 2-Storey Building- ‘Neighbour’

More facts have emerged on the circumstances surrounding the death of Arise News reporter, Ms. Somtochukwu Chritelle Maduagwu who died during a robbery incident in her Katampe residence in Abuja.

 

According a neighbor who spoke to FACTSHEET, Ms Maduagwu reportedly died from wounds she sustained when she jumped from the two storey building she lived.

According to the source who craved anonymity, the armed robbers numbering over six robbed the residents of the building moving from one flat to another.

 

She disclosed that, “while the robbery was ongoing many residents and neighbours called the police, but they arrived very late.”

Continuing she told FACTSHEET that “sommie was visible scared when the armed robbers reached her flat which prompted her to jump from the balcony of her flat and sustained injuries.”

 

It was disclosed that when the police eventually arrived the scene, Sommie was still alive and pleaded with the leader of the police team to take her to any hospital, but the police allegedly declined saying that they do not have fuel in their vehicle.”

 

It was disclosed that when help eventually came, it was too late as the victim had already died.

The FCT Police Command had not spoken on the incident at press time.
