APC Govs, NWC, Adopt Congress Timetable, Commend Nentawe on E-registration

The Chairman of the Progressives Governors’ Forum (PGF), Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State has revealed that the forum met with National Working Committee (NWC) of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to fine-tune the party’s strategy ahead of the 2027 general elections activities.

Speaking on the outcome of the meeting held on Wednesday with the leadership of the party, Governor Uzodimma noted that the e-registration of members of the part as well as th timetable for congresses of the party topped their agenda.

Governor Uzodimma stated that the governors unanimously commended the National Chairman of the party, Prof. Yilwatda Nentawe and his team for the e-registration which he noted has integrated the youth demographic into structure.

Uzodimma said transparency, consistency and accountability must guide every stage to strengthen trust and credibility within the party

At a high-level meeting of the Progressive Governors’ Forum (PGF), held with the leadership of our great party in attendance – the National Chairman, all Deputy National Chairmen, and the National Secretary – the forum unanimously commended the

National Chairman and his team for their forward-looking initiatives. Particular commendation was given to the e-registration of members, which will drive youth inclusivity and further promote transparency within the party,” he explained.

The PGF Chairman stated that the party has resolved to emplace a transparent congress system in place across all the state to ensure that the congresses go smoothly without unnecessary rancor.

He said that,  “These standards must apply uniformly across all states, including where the party currently has no governors.

Governor Uzodimma reiterated that, “the forum adopted the proposed timetable for party congresses and the national convention in alignment with INEC guidelines, while reaffirming its commitment to deepening internal democracy, strengthening party structures, and advancing reforms that promote transparency, accountability, and inclusiveness across all levels of the federation.

He noted that the governors and party leadership commended President Bola Tinubu for the progress he has made in “reviving” the Nigerian economy

 

“The progressive leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has continued to transform the economic landscape of our country, and this positive direction is being embraced by all lovers of progress who are proudly joining the progressive family. I note with confidence that these reforms signal a renewed commitment to growth, stability, and inclusive development, reinforcing public trust in the vision and capacity of our great party to lead Nigeria forward,” he stated.
