ACCI President Felicitates Business Community on Eid al-Fitr, Urges Stronger Government Support for Growth
The President of the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), Chief Emeka Obegolu, has extended warm Eid al-Fitr greetings to the business community across the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and its environs, while calling for sustained government support to strengthen the private sector.
In his Sallah message, Chief Obegolu congratulated Muslim faithful on the successful completion of Ramadan, describing the holy month as a period of devotion, sacrifice, discipline, and spiritual renewal. He noted that the virtues of patience, integrity, and perseverance demonstrated during the fasting period are critical ingredients for building sustainable and thriving businesses.

The ACCI President commended entrepreneurs and business owners for their resilience and commitment despite prevailing economic challenges, emphasizing that their contributions remain central to economic growth, job creation, and national development.
“As we celebrate Sallah, let us renew our commitment to peace, progress, and prosperity. Together, with the right support and a shared vision, we can build a more vibrant and resilient economy,” he said.
Chief Obegolu, who also serves as a leading figure within the Organised Private Sector in the FCT, urged businesses to remain innovative and optimistic in navigating economic headwinds. He stressed the importance of unity, collaboration, and ethical practices, noting that collective effort is essential for overcoming challenges and unlocking new opportunities.
He further called on government at all levels to continue implementing policies and providing an enabling environment that supports business growth and sustainability.
