The Kano State Governorship Election Tribunal has announced that it will deliver judgement on Wednesday September 20th on the petition filed against the election of Governor Abba Yusuf of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) by the All Progressives Congress (APC)
Malam Nasir Gawuna the APC governorship candidate had approached the tribunal seeking the upturning of the declaration by the Independent national Election Tribunal (INEC) of Yusuf as the winner of the March 18, 2023 governorship election in the state.
Gawuna implored the tribunal chaired by Justice Oluyemi Akintan-Osadebay to declare him the rightful winner of the election.
The final written addresses of the parties were adopted a fortnight ago.
