APC Governor Will End Insecurity in Anambra in 3 Months- Dozie Ikedife

The Zonal Organising Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr. Dozie Ikedife has said that the party was prepared to bring a governor that will end insecurity in Anambra State within three months.

Ikedife who spoke to journalists on Saturday in Nnewi stated that the current situation in Anambra State was caused by the unserious attitude of Governor Charles Soludo to issues of security in the state.

The APC chieftain noted that there must be something very wrong with the government of Anambra State as other Southeast states have effectively reined in insecurity in their various enclaves.

He said:

“You ask yourself what the Governor of Enugu State is doing that Anambra State is not doing, what Ebonyi State Governor is doing, what Abia State Governor is doing that Anambra State is not doing and Imo State too.

“The truth of the matter is that we have a governor who doesn’t care about the lives and property of its citizens. That is why the security situation in Anambra State has deteriorated so badly.

“APC is going to bring on board a governor who will tackle the bad security situation in Anambra State in 100 days.”

Anambra State has been the worst hit by the activities of criminal gangs who have rendered economies of various towns moribund in the last two three years. In some communities, even dead people cannot be buried as criminals unleash terror on family members while in some towns ransoms have to be paid before any ceremony can take place.

Prominent citizens of the state have been killed, while thousands have since stayed away from the state.

Anambra State is scheduled to elect a new governor on November 8, 2025 according to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). The incumbent All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) will be squaring up against other political parties including the All Progressives Congress (APC), Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Labour Party (LP) among others.
