President Bola Tinubu has returned to Abuja from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia after attending the joint Arab-Islamic summit.
The extraordinary summit deliberated on the escalating conflicts in the Middle East, especially the crisis between Israel, Palestine, Lebanon and Iran.
President Bola Tinubu while at the summit called for immediate cessation of hostilities in the region. On the war in Gaza, President Tinubu noted that “the conflict has persisted for far too long, inflicting immeasurable suffering.”
Tinubu joined other heads of state and government of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), and the League of Arab States who attended the one-day summit to call for end of the crisis in the region.
President Tinubu’s plane touched down at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport at about some few minutes past 8pm on Tuesday. He was received at the Presidential wing of the airport by his Chief of Staff, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila and other senior officials of the government.
