President Bola Tinubu has approved the immediate creation of the Ministry of Livestock Development.
The creation of the new ministry was announced at the State House on Tuesday during the inauguration of the Renewed Hope livestock reform implementation committee.
The new ministry is a direct result of the report submitted by the committee chaired by the immediate past governor of Kano State and National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) Dr. Abdulahi Ganduje which was inaugurated on September 14, 2023 and was mandated to find lasting solutions to the perennial herders-farmers clashes that have left in its trails deaths and destruction across the country.
