More Tragedy in Japan as two Planes Colide, Five Coastguards killed

Another tragedy struck Japan on Tuesday when a Japan Airlines plane crash-landed at the Haneda International Airport and collided with another Japanese Coast Guard plane killing five coast guards.

The accident which involved an Airbus A350-941 with Reg.no.JA13XJ belonging to Japan Airlines (JAL) and  de Havilland Canada DHC-8-315Q MPA with Reg. no. JA722A belonging to the Japan Coast Guard.

The Coast Guard aircraft was preparing for a mission to deliver aid to victims of the Monday earthquake that devastated parts of the country.

The Coast Guard plane had six crew members onboard, but one of them was lucky to have been saved.

In a remarkable evacuation success all 379 people onboard the JAL plane were evacuated within 90seconds even when the plane was on fire.

Japanese Prime Minister, Fumio Kishida spoke with the media and praised the patriotism of the coastguards that lost their lives in the accident.
