The Court of Appeal sitting in Lagos has announced it will tomorrow Friday, November 24, 2023 deliver judgement on the appeal filed by the Ebonyi State governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii against the ruling of the Ebonyi State governorship election tribunal that upheld the declaration of Governor Ogbonnaya Nwifuru as the validly elected governor in the March 18, governorship election.
Chief Odii and the PDP had challenged the election of Governor Nwifuru of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on the ground that he was not qualified to contest the election alleging that the governor was a card-carrying member of the PDP at the time he was nominated to fly the APC flag as its governorship candidate.
