[FULL LIST] Atiku Unveils Campaign Council, Kashim Imam, El Rufai, Austin Akobundu to Lead Campaign
Former Vice President and presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has unveiled his campaign council ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Former presidential aspirant, Kashim Ibrahim-Imam will serve as the Chairman of the Campaign Council while the immediate governor of Kaduna State, Malam Nasiru El Rufai will serve as the Deputy Chairman, with Abia State lawmaker and former National Vice Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Southeast Zone, Senator Austin Akobundu will serve as the Director-General of the campaign council.
The unveiling of the council was announced in a statement issued late Tuesday by by the Director, Strategic Communications of the council, Phrank Shaibu, who is also Senior Special Assistant on Public Communication to Atiku.
The statement says that the council was deliberately structured to be able to speak to the economic situation currently being faced by Nigerians, including rising food prices, transport costs and shrinking incomes.
Atiku also appointed six Deputy Directors-General who will coordinate operational directorates, working alongside 30 directors.
