
The National Assembly has announced the immediate postponment of the resumption of plenary from Tuesday September 15, 2026 to September 29, 2026.
The Clerk to the National Assembly, Mr. Kamorudeen Ogunlana in a statement issued in Abuja on Thursday indicates that the latest postponment was an agreement reached by the leadership of both the Senate and the House of Representaives.
The Clerk explained that reschedling of the resumption of plenary was done to enable the completion of ongoing rehablitation works in the National Assembly complex.
“This postponement, as directed by the President of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, is to allow for the completion of the ongoing rehabilitation work in the two chambers,” the statement read in part.
The Clerk further advised all lawmakers to adjust their schedules and legislative commitments to align with the revised resumption date
