JUST IN: Abuja Court Throws Out Bid to Force INEC to Recognize PDP Turaki Team

A Federal High Court sitting  in Abuja has dismissed a suit by filed by Mr.  Kabiru Tanimu, Jerry Gana, Aldolphus Wabara and others who sought to force Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to recognize an “Illegal Interim National Working Committee” to for the electoral umpire to forcefully recognise it as the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The court Friday  held that the matter brought before it lacked merit as the authentic National Legal Adviser of the party never initiated the case.

The decision of the court further affirms the Abdulrahman led National Working Committee (NWC) of the PDP.

The position of the court indicates that the Turaki-led group is not known to the law as being part of the PDP.
