On Sunday July 5, 2026 the Director-General of the World Trade Organisation (WTO), Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala entertained thousands of visitors to the Open Day of the WTO at Geneva as gthey watched her make a grand entrance with the iconic Ogene dance band.
In a trending video, Dr. Okonjo-Iweala is seen displaying her beautiful dance steps as the Ogene band and a massive masquerade join her while visitors snapped away.
The WTO hosted the open day to mark the 100th anniversary of the organisation. The WTO building was the first building opened in Geneva to house an international organisation.
The Open Day offered visitors the opportunity to explore the building and take come face to face with its historical trajectories as preserved in arts, photographs and other forms of documentations.
The event also featured entertained for children and a special global cuisine where visitor saw or tasted different foods from many parts of the world.
