The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has officially presented a Certificate of Return to Chief Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii following his emergence as the party’s governorship candidate for the 2027 election in Ebonyi State.
The Certificate, dated June 24, 2026, confirms Odii’s election as the PDP’s flagbearer for the forthcoming governorship poll after the party’s primary election.
Signed by key National Officers of the Party, including the National Chairman, National Secretary, and National Organising Secretary, the certificate formally recognizes Odii as the PDP candidate for the 2027 governorship election in Ebonyi State.
The presentation marks a significant milestone in the Party’s preparations for the election, as Odii now assumes the responsibility of leading the PDP’s campaign and mobilization efforts ahead of the contest.
During the presentation of the the Certificate of Return at the 109th National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the party held at the Wadata House National Secretariat of the party in Abuja, the National Leader of the party, Chief Nyesom Wike urged all the candidates to work hard in their various states to enable them emerge victorious at the polls.
Wike assured all candidates that the party will support them to win, but “everyone must work hard to bring something to the table.”
Recall that last month Odii was declared winner of the Party’s governorship primary in Ebonyi State conducted across the 13 local government areas of the state.
He polled a total of 8,281 votes to emerge the consensus candidate of the party during the primary.
