Lagos APC Re-elects Seye Oladejo as Publicity Secretary at State Congress

Hon. Seye Oladejo has been re-elected as the Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Lagos State Chapter, following the party’s State Congress held on Tuesday at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, formerly known as Onikan Stadium.

Oladejo, a former Chairman of Mushin Local Government Area and a one-time Commissioner, secured a renewed mandate after party delegates unanimously commended his performance, describing it as sterling and impactful. His re-election reaffirms his position as the chief spokesman of the APC in Lagos State.
Delegates and party faithful at the congress praised Oladejo for what they termed “proficient and quality representation” of the party, noting that his strategic engagement across traditional and social media platforms significantly enhanced the public image of the APC and strengthened confidence among residents of the state.

Speaking shortly after his re-election, Oladejo expressed gratitude to party leaders and delegates for the trust reposed in him.
“I am deeply honoured by this renewed confidence. I remain committed to promoting the ideals of our great party and ensuring that the APC continues to maintain a strong and credible presence in Lagos State,” he said.

The congress, which party leaders described as peaceful, transparent and reflective of internal democracy, also produced other key officials to steer the affairs of the party in the state.
Cornelius Oyefolu Ojelabi emerged as Chairman, while Moshood Olanrewaju was elected Deputy Chairman. Adeola Jokomba was returned as Secretary, with Azizat Adejumoke Mariam as Assistant Secretary. Babajide Aboyade Sunday was elected Vice Chairman, and Muyideen Abayomi as State Zonal Vice Chairman.

Folashade Bakare emerged as Legal Adviser, with Adebila Adewummi as Assistant Legal Adviser. Abiola Aigbe was elected Treasurer, assisted by Olugbenle Sonola, while Banjo Adedoyin clinched the position of Financial Secretary alongside Olaleye Ganiyat Olufunke as Assistant Financial Secretary.
Ayodele Adewale was elected Organising Secretary-General, with Sanwo-Olu Adebayo Oladimeji as Assistant Organising Secretary. Yesiru Karamo emerged as Assistant Publicity Secretary.

Other officials include Adeniyi Kehinde as Welfare Secretary; Bikuda Adedoyin Tolulope as Auditor, assisted by Wusu Shakiru Ajiyan; Shola Eletu as Woman Leader, with Damilola Sonayan James as Assistant Woman Leader; Seriki Muritala as Youth Leader, with Vincent Adukwu as Assistant Youth Leader; and Afolabi Dada as Special Leader.

For the senatorial districts, Goshe Oyebola Rasheed was elected Senatorial Youth Leader (West), Mathew Eshinlokun (Central), and Balogun Olugbenga (East). Deaconess Ajiwonuola and Olawoyin Modupe emerged as Senatorial Woman Leaders for Central and East respectively.
Ex-Officio Members elected at the congress include Aishat Sanni, Yomi Olubando, Bamidele Olufemi and Ngozi Catherine.

Observers say the newly constituted executive committee is expected to consolidate on the party’s achievements in Lagos State while intensifying grassroots mobilisation and strategic communication ahead of the 2027 general elections. Congratulatory messages have continued to pour in across social media platforms, with party members and supporters expressing optimism about the party’s future under the re-elected and newly elected officials.
