APC Reconstitutes Convention C’ttee, Drops Gov Uzodimma, Masari, Anyim Step in

The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), has reshuffled its 2026 National Convention Committee, in a new appointment announced on Friday by the National Secretary of the party, Senator Ajibola Bashiru.

According to the APC National Secretary, the party dropped the governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma and in his place, former governor of Katsina State, Hon. Bello Masari has been appointed as the Chairman of the Convention Committee.

Also, former President of the Senate, Chief Anyim Pius Anyim has been appointed as the 1st Vice Chairman of the committee. Governor Abdulrahaman of Kwara State is to serve as the 2nd Vice Chairman, while Governor Hope Uzodimma will now serve as the treasurer of the committee.

According to Sen Bashiru, the reconstitution of the committee was a result of the “consultation with the leadership and national stakeholders” of the party.

All the governors and other senior government officials and stakeholders are also members of the committee.
