Governor Ogbonna Nwifuru of Ebonyi State has approved N150, 000 Christmas bonus for all civil servants in the state.
The governor’s approval has been confirmed by the Special Assistant to the governor on New Media, Mr. Leo Oketa.
According to a statement shared on his social media handles on Sunday, Oketa confirmed that “Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru has approved a One Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira (₦150,000) Christmas bonus for each Ebonyi State civil servant for the 2025 festive season.”
Governor Nwifuru since he took over in May 2023 has initiated programmes and incentives aimed at motivating and rebuilding the civil service in the Southeast states.
Governor Nwifuru recently approved recruitment into the state civil service inclusive medical staff to revive public healthcare sector.
The governor was among the first to increase minimum wage to N100,000, N30,000 above the National minimum wage of N70,000.
