summoned immediate past Minister of Justice and the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF), Mr. Abubakar Malami SAN over some issues relating to his role during the President Muhammadu Buhari administration.
Confirming the summon through a statement shared on his social media handle on Friday, the former minister said he was ready to honour the invitation as “ a law-abiding and patriotic citizen.”
In the state, he wrote:
“I would like to inform my family and friends that I have been summoned by the EFCC to provide clarification on certain matters, and as a law-abiding and patriotic citizen, I am determined to honour this invitation without any hesitation.”

“I believe in the importance of honesty, integrity and accountability in governance, these are principles that I have long supported and upheld over the years of my public service.”
Malami whose ministery supervised the EFCC during Buhati’s administration was at a time locked in a protracted tussle of superirity with the leadership of the EFCC when Mr. Ibrahim Magu was the Chairman of the anti-graft agency.
Magu was eventually eased out of office under some controversial circumstances.
