The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has appointed “Ebonyi State Caretaker Committee (EBSCC) of the party.
In a statement issued on Wednesday in Abuja by the National Organising Secretary of the party, Hon. Umar Bature, Barr. Ekuma E. Emmanuel is to serve as the Acting Chairman, while Hon. Moses E. Idika is the Acting Secretary.
Other members of the committee are, Hon. Nnanna E. Orji, 1. Barr Ekuma E Emmanuel- Chairman. Chief Christopher E Ngwuta, Hon Nnanna E Oji, Chief Godwin O Nwode, Barr Ugochukwu Obasi, Engr Odanwu E Ifeanyi, Barr Lawson Chukwu, and Chief Matthew Nkwegu,
Others are, Mr Adiele A Okoro, Hon Muhammad I Oken, Augustine Ezike and Igboke Chukwuma.
According to the statement, “the assignment takes effect from November 26th 2025 and the Committee is charged with the responsibility of running the affairs of the Party in Ebonyi State, as stipulated in Section 21(2) (a-b) of our Party Constitution for a period not exceeding 30 days.”
The PDP had earlier scheduled a repeat congresses in Ebonyi State. The Caretaker Committee is expected to run the affairs of the party pending the conduct of the Ward, Local Government and State Congresses of the party.
