The National Assembly Service Commission (NASC) has ratified the appointment of Mr. Emmanuel Rawlimgs Agada as substantive Clerk to the Senate
The ratification is contained in in a letter signed by the Chairman of the commission, Chief Saviour Enyiekere after the commission’s 7th meeting, held on the 6th of August, 2025.
Before his new appointment, Mr. Agada served as the Deputy Clerk to the Senate, (Legislative) and later served as the interim Clerk to the Senate.

Mr. Agada had previously served in various capacities in the National Assembly, he was the Director, Research and Information, from where he was appointed the Deputy Clerk to the House of Representatives.
A native of Oturkpa in Ogbadibo LGA of Benue State, Mr. Agada is well-travelled parliamentary technocrat.
He is a graduate of Political Science from the Ahmadu Bello University has worked in the British House of Commons, the South African Parliament, International Parliamentary Union(IPU) amongst many others.
