A former presidential spokesperson Dr Doyin Okupe is dead.
The late medical doctor-turned politician was aged of 72 years.
Okupe who worked with Chief Olusegun Obasanjo and President Goodluck Jonathan, according to family sources has been facing serious health challenges in the last few years.

Late Okupe tried to make a major political comeback during the 2023 general elections when he briefly emerged Mr. peter Obi’s running mate and campaign Director-General of Pater.
He, however had to step down from the position after a court convicted him of corruption,
Late Okupe in 2024 announced that he had left Labour Party and was ready to work with President Bola Tinubu who he said was the “best man” for the job.
An associate who spoke to the media on the condition of anonymity because the family has not officially announced the demise of the ebullient medical doctor turned politician said that the former presidential aide had been critically ill for over ten days and had been on life support in an undisclosed hospital.
