The EFCC boss stressed that any form of assistant or support offered to suspected corrupt elements may have detrimental effects on the fight against corruption at the long run.

He urged Nigerians not to protest in support of anyone that has been prosecuted with convincing evidence saying the Act is tantamount to fighting the system, encouraging corruption and contributing to the problems.

“If we must fight this cankerworm, then all of these must stop. We must fight both the mini and the mega, let’s give the people the dividend of democracy for once” he said.

While reaffirming his commitment to continue the fight against corruption he appealed to Nigerians to instead support leaders with integrity, accountability and the fear of God
