Court Bars PDP, INEC from Removing Anyanwu’s Name as Party Secretary

A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has barred the Acting National Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ambassador Illiya Damagun and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) from making any changes on documents relating to the party, especially as it affects the National Secretary of the party, Senator Samuel Anyanwu.

In an Ex-parte Order issued by Justice I. E. Ekwo while ruling on the application brought before the court by Sen. Samuel Anyanwu in Suit no: FHC/ABJ/CS/245/2025, the judge ordered that “1st   [INEC] and 2ND defendant [Damagun] are hereby restrained from doing anything or taking any action that will contradict the prayers of the plaintiff/ Applicant on their Motion on Ex-Parte pending further Orders of the Court.”
