JUST IN: Many Feared Dead as American Airliner Collides with Military Helicopter in Washington

A fatal midair collision has occurred   involving an American Airlines CRJ-700 and a US Army US Army Sikorsky UH-60 Blackhawk at Ronald Reagan International Airport Washington DC.

The details of the accident are still sketchy but preliminary information indicates that the American Airline flight 5342 from Wichita has 60 passengers and crew onboard.

ATC audio recordings show that the Blackhawk crew responded that they had the airliner visual after being notified of its approach to land, it is unclear how the collision occurred.

It is suspected that there may be no survivors as rescue teams including Police, Divers and Fire Crews are currently searching the crash site for survivors and bodies of victims.
