Gov Duoye Diri Floors Sylva, Wins Bayelsa Guber Election
Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate Senator Duoye Diri has been re-elected for a second term as the Executive Governor of Bayelsa State.
The incumbent Governor floored his rival and former Minister of State for Petroleum, Timipre Sylva of the All Progressives Congress (APC)
The Returning Officer of the SaturdayNovember11 governorship electionin the state, Prof Faruq Kuta who announced the election results said that Governor Diri polled 175,196 to defeat his closest rival, Timipre Sylva of APC who polledo 110,108 votes while the Labour Party polled 905 votes
