Appeal Court Sacks Sen Abbo, Installs PDP’s Amos Yohana

The Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja has sacked rhe lawmaker representing Adamawa North in the Senate, Ishaku Abbo.
Senator Abbo’s election was nullifed by the appelate court and in his place, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Amos Yohana ordered to be issued a certificate of return by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Abbo who was elected on the platform of the PDP in his first tenure later defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) at the twilight of his first tenure.
The Adamawa State Election Petition Tribunal had upheld the election of Abbo, but the decision of the tribunal was appealed by the PDP candidate.
